Adding an interactive piece to language learning really brings the language to life and provides an opportunity for development of communication skills. Spanish for You! is designed to allow you to easily do this at home by providing optional, interactive games and activities in the daily lessons.

Below I have provided a few ideas on how you can easily add interaction to your kids’ Spanish learning at home using Spanish for You!

  1. Coordinate learning Spanish with another family or families. Spanish for You! is super flexible in that grades 3-8 can be learning the same material at the same time. (Grades 3-4 move through the program a bit more slowly, but you can still do so many things with all ages together, just being sure to practice what all have done so far.) So, with the other family, plan to get together every week, every two weeks, whatever works for you, to do the optional games and activities.

  2. Start your own classes. If you are a mom (or dad) who homeschools or just wants to do some teaching and maybe earn a little extra money, you can do it with Spanish for You!  All you need is a themed package for the grades you want to teach, a set of corresponding teacher lesson plans, and some students. Round up the neighborhood kids or your kids’ friends, etc. They each order their own themed package, come to your class once a week for an hour, and do the corresponding week in the lesson guide for homework. It is very little planning for you, little cost, easy to do whether you know Spanish or not, and FUN!

  3. Use Spanish for You! with your whole family. Learn some Spanish together. As you follow the lesson guide each week, take extra time to just do some of the optional games and activities.

There are so many ways you can bring your Spanish learning to life using Spanish for You!  Please feel free to share here what you have done.
