Learn about Mexican art through a historical presentation at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. FREE!

If you have children (especially high school age) learning Spanish, I HIGHLY recommend a visit to this museum! The art of Mexico is presented through a historical perspective. Everything is presented via bilingual narrative posted on the walls that follow a chronological order. You will learn more about Mexico’s history than you could imagine. It is quite fascinating.

Also, if your high schoolers are learning the preterite and imperfect verb tenses (these are past tense verbs), they will especially get wonderful practice reading the information.

The museum is not very big. You can easily get through all of it at a leisurely pace within 2 hours. Also, it is FREE, but they do ask for donations when you enter.

A worthwhile visit!!!
