One unique feature of Spanish for You! is that NON-SPANISH SPEAKERS can teach it.  This provides a great opportunity to schools and homeschool co-ops who want to begin a Spanish program, but do not have Spanish speakers to teach.

With Spanish for You!, it is EASY. Two ways to do this:

Here’s how using our CLASS USE OPTION 1 or 2:

  • When you teach using Spanish for You!, you use our one-hour lesson plans each week and assign the corresponding week in the lesson guide as homework for your students.
  • As the non-Spanish speaking teacher, all you have to do is some of the students’ homework FIRST yourself, and then you will be ready to teach your class.
  • EXAMPLE: You are going to teach week 1 of our one-hour lesson plans and then assign week 1 in the lesson guide as homework. So, you should:
    • do some of week 1 in the lesson guide yourself, which may take you about 1 hour.  (The lesson guide is designed to provide students with 4 days of work, 15-30 min/day. As an adult, you will move more quickly through the work.)
    • then read week 1 of the one-hour teacher lesson plan to see what you will be doing in your class and prepare materials.
  • That’s it!  Oh, and no worries on pronunciation. EVERYTHING IN THE BOOK IS ON AUDIO.

As you move through the curriculum, you will find that the lesson guide work you do will move even more quickly because the foundations you have been building along the way will help you.

Alternative method using our CLASS USE OPTION 2:
Bypass the teacher lesson plans and just use the lesson guide in class with your students learning and doing it WITH them. The lesson guide is filled with optional/extra interactive games and activities that you can do with your group. All you would have to do to prepare is look ahead and have materials ready, i.e. worksheets, picture cards, items for games, etc.
