A simple Spanish conversation activity you can do to practice new Spanish vocabulary is the ¿Qué tienes? (What do you have?) Activity. Just follow these easy instructions:
  1. Put actual items or Spanish flashcards of vocabulary you are learning in a bag so you can’t see them.
  2. First person pulls an item or Spanish flashcard out of the bag.
  3. Other person asks, “¿Qué tienes?” (What do you have?)
  4. First person answers: “Tengo_____.” (I have_____.), filling in the blank with the Spanish vocabulary word.
  5. Other person pulls out an item or Spanish flashcard, and the Spanish conversation continues.

Pronunciation Help:
qué (keh)
tienes (tee-en-ehs)
tengo (tehn-go)

That’s it! A fun and easy way to learn new Spanish vocabulary and do a little speaking too!

Enjoy!
Debbie
