A simple Spanish conversation activity you can do to practice new Spanish vocabulary is the ¿Qué tienes? (What do you have?) Activity. Just follow these easy instructions:- Put actual items or Spanish flashcards of vocabulary you are learning in a bag so you can’t see them.
- First person pulls an item or Spanish flashcard out of the bag.
- Other person asks, “¿Qué tienes?” (What do you have?)
- First person answers: “Tengo_____.” (I have_____.), filling in the blank with the Spanish vocabulary word.
- Other person pulls out an item or Spanish flashcard, and the Spanish conversation continues.
Pronunciation Help:
qué (keh)
tienes (tee-en-ehs)
tengo (tehn-go)
That’s it! A fun and easy way to learn new Spanish vocabulary and do a little speaking too!
Enjoy!
