Spanish Meet and Greet Comics

My students have been learning how to meet and greet people in Spanish. They learn a step-by-step process that goes like this:

1. Greet each other using words/phrases like: hola (hello), buenos días (good morning), buenas tardes (good afternoon), and buenas noches (good evening).
2. Ask each other’s name: ¿Cómo te llamas?, Me llamo___.
3. Say “nice to meet you”: Es un gusto, Encantado/a, igualmente, El gusto es mío, etc.
4. Ask “how are you?”: ¿Cómo estás? or ¿Qué tal? and answer, Estoy____. (bien, así así, regular, etc.)
5. Ask “where are you from?”: ¿De dónde eres?, Soy de___.
6. Say “bye”: adiós, hasta luego, nos vemos, etc.

One way to help them remember this process is to have them do a 6 frame comic strip showing it. Below  are a few of my students’ comics.

You can give your students more practice with my Meet and Greet Lesson that comes with a variety of activities to practice plus audio so you can hear everything! It can be used at home or in a class. If used for a class it can be a great little lesson to send home that students can do on their own. No experience needed.
